Marcel van Luit X Formula 1 trophy
Super proud to share that I had the honor of designing the trophy for the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix! Inspired by my fascination with traditional Delft Blue, I drew these racing symbols with Dutch heritage elements and collaborated with the incredible artisans at Royal Delft to hand-paint this Studio Piet Boon trophy.
I wanted to create a modern interpretation of the traditional Delft Blue. Every detail was hand painted with the utmost care and respect for their time-honored craftsmanship.
Join us this weekend in the Paddock Club as we unveil this unique work of art alongside a special exhibition, together with the art of Robbie Williams.
Max Verstappen
A very special commissioned painting for Max Verstappen, a tribute to his 200 Formula 1 races made by Dutch artist Marcel van Luit
Painted in ‘Delfts Blauw’, a symbolic reference to the Dutch heritage, Race Buddy expresses playful originality and authenticity - a subtle nod to Max Verstappen himself, who conquered the Formula 1 world with his undeniable talent and will of his own.
The work contains carefully crafted details honouring Verstappen's career and successes: the number 200 for his 200th race, the Dutch flag, the iconic number 33, and three stars representing his three world championships.
