Marcel van Luit is a Dutch contemporary artist known for his surreal digital art, painted works and immersive storytelling. Since 2020, he has gained international acclaim through a wide range of high-profile collaborations, exhibitions and projects with social impact.
In 2020, he was commissioned by Paris Hilton and began expanding his global presence. The following year saw solo exhibitions in Mexico, digital works at Art Basel Miami, and an NFT showcase in Puerto Rico. His art even appeared in a Guy Ritchie film.
2022 marked a milestone with a public exhibition on Oxford Street London and commissioned pieces for celebrities like Lionel Richie and Post Malone. He launched an NFT collection with VETPAW, supporting wildlife protection, and unveiled large-scale digital art installations across the Benelux.
In 2023, van Luit’s work appeared in Times Square during Frieze Art Fair New York, and he created pieces for Sofia Richie Grainge’s wedding and Paris Hilton’s anniversary. He debuted a new exhibition and sculpture series at Amsterdam’s Conservatorium Hotel, contributed to the Rhino Man film campaign by making the movie poster, and held a 360° immersive show at Toda Dubai. He also hosted an exclusive Vogue x W1Curates dinner in London and joined a WWF pop-up exhibition in the Netherlands.
In 2024, van Luit launched his very first painted work called INNR series, characterized by emotional, floral creatures and neo-expressionist elements. He created personal commissions for Naomi Campbell and Drake, designed the official Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix trophy and painted a commissioned tribute to Max Verstappen. He made the album artwork for Spanish pop star Manuel Carrasco and he also received the GOLD LIST International Award and participated in key exhibitions with UNITAR and the Netherlands Consulate during Art Basel Miami.
2025 saw the artist light up at Art Basel Hong Kong, a collaboration and ‘Embrace of Luck’ sculpture launch with SENSO & Moooi in L.A., and unveil a public tribute to Sir. David Attenborough’s 99th birthday across the Netherlands, UK and Belgium.
Throughout his career, van Luit has worked with figures like Floyd Mayweather, Deepak Chopra and he even met with the Pope. He is maintaining a strong focus on wildlife, nature, mental health and human connection. His art transcends traditional formats by combining digital, painted and immersive experiences, aiming to evoke awe, respect and silence in an overstimulated world.
